Dolores Olmedo Museum & Day of the Dead Altars

IWC partners with Understand Mexico to bring you a fun walking tour.

Details: We will visit the ex-hacienda La Noria in the south of the city which was once Dolores Olmedo's home and today houses the largest private collection of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo's paintings. Doña Lola was a self-made, savvy business woman and patroness of the arts. Peacocks and hairless dogs continue to wander the grounds which were once her haven. On this tour we will focus on her private art collection, but will have a chance to walk through the Day of the Dead Altars (which are still on display). And YES - the Frida's are back for a short while before going on tour again, so take advantage and join us for this special visit to see how the other half live!

When: Wednesday, November 15th, 10 am to 1 pm.

Where: Meeting location will be provided in a separate e-mail closer to the tour date.  If you any questions please feel free to contact Lynda Martinez at mailto:lyndamartinez@understandmexico.net
