Baby Blankets

Volunteer Opportunity!!

Help us make baby blankets for newborns.

Details: This month Baby Blankets is joining efforts with the Stitching Club! 

Our ladies meet to cut fleece fabric into blankets which are given to new mothers in Hospital Materno Infantil Guadalupe Victoria in the community of Atizapan about an hour away from the city. No sewing is necessary!  

When: Thursday 10th of October, 10:30am to 12:30pm 

Where:  Please contact Rhonda Jones for specific location. rhondajones@shaw.ca

Cost: Free! It is helpful, but not necessary, to bring your own scissors.

Registration:  No need to register but please RSVP with Rhonda Jones at rhondajones@shaw.ca if you plan to join us. 

Baby Blankets is always accepting the following donations:

• New born diapers
• New liquid soap (pump soap)
• Paper towels
• Travel size shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion (for new moms)
• Slippers from hotels (for the new moms to wear in the hospital)
• New little sweaters for babies (0-3 or 3-6 mo.)
• New onesies/sleepers/bibs
• The hospital will aso accept used baby clothing and blankets.  These items are sold at the hospitals monthly bazaar.  The proceeds are used to purchase dispensas ( and other necessities) for families of the newborns.
